Import Releases From Another DistributorUpdated a year ago
Step 1: Import Your Release
To import your releases, log into our Artist Portal and navigate to Distribution → Import Releases.
- Select the distributor and add your Spotify links.
- Click Process Import. This process usually takes 30 to 60 seconds per release.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email once your releases are successfully imported and available in your Drafts.
Required Uploads:
- Release artwork (image file)
- Song files (WAV format)
Required Details:
- Release genre
- Language
- Song credits
❌ DO NOT CHANGE: Audio files, release name, song titles, or artist names. Changes may prevent platforms from recognizing the release.
✅ YOU MAY CHANGE: Song credits if needed, especially if your previous distributor didn't allow credit details.
Step 2: Wait for Platform Synchronization
Allow at least one week after your release is approved and distributed by JumpWave Group.
- During this time, your release may appear as a "duplicate" on platforms.
- The original release will retain the original stream count, while the new JumpWave version may initially display without streams.
Within a few hours, platforms typically synchronize the data. Both releases will merge and be visible as 2 versions of the same release and song statistics will display across both.
Step 3: Remove the Release from Your Previous Distributor
After the one-week sync period, you may take down the original release from your previous distributor.
- This helps ensure that stream counts and playlist placements remain intact.
- Always double-check that a full week has passed with both versions live before removing the original release.
